Air France is offering crazy deals at the moment

Air FranceYou don’t normally see discounts this deep from an airline like Air France, but business must be slow or something: Air France special offers

Check their current specials and you’ll see what I mean. Their loss is our gain, and if I’m not mistaken the French government owns at least part of the airline so the French taxpayers are the real losers here. They also have February flight sales and those offer further discounts off their already low prices. Something tells me they’ll have some March flight specials in that same place in a few days, so this site is like a savings machine that just keeps giving.

Get out of here! Starting at £99

Escape AdamIf you get as fed up with city life as I do, you are going to be as chuffed as I am about the great deals at lastminute.com: City breaks from £99

They’ve sorted out the best last-minute deals to their top 10 destinations, but they’ve got plenty more where that came from. At least alphabetically speaking, their number one destination is Amsterdam. Regular readers of this column know all too well how fond I am of that town.

BA Holidays has some tempting deals at the moment

MiamiYes, I know that British Airways isn’t necessarily known for having the lowest prices on holiday packages, but the current batch of specials might just change our minds: British Airways Holidays

If you click around a bit you’ll find some very good packages to North America. At the moment they are in the middle of a full year of presidential election nonsense, and they are too busy to notice that our currency crushes the dollar. You probably know loads of people who went to New York City for Christmas shopping in December, so you know how cheap things are there at the moment.

I don’t settle for inflated hotel prices, and neither should you!

Dam SquareI recently got an e-mail from someone called Nigel who asked me how I make sure I always get the best possible price on my frequent hotel stays. I don’t have the time to respond personally, Nigel, but I hope you read this: Low price guarantee on over 17000 hotels

The fine people at hotels.com UK have pushed around the hotel chains and the result is they’ve agreed to guarantee the lowest possible price at over 17,000 of them so far. My sources over there say this is mostly arranged by these two goons who come in threatening the managers to make sure the price they offer is the lowest possible price. But between you and me, I think this guy is making that part up. There’s no way this could be done with only two guys. How many hotels would they have to visit each day in order to be up to 17,000 already?

When a normal break won’t do

sunset flightIf you are the sort who likes a simple way to book a package holiday and still get the lowest prices available you are probably well aware of superbreak.com, right? Superbreak - Just 3 Clicks To Book

Well, if not, it’s time I introduce the two of you. Superbreak.com is the rare website that offers excellent deals but doesn’t make you spend 15 minutes fighting off budget-busting extra options. I’m looking at their promotions page right now and I like what I see.

The AirlineNetwork is legit, folks

HammockI’ve recently gotten quite a few e-mails asking me if the AirlineNetwork is a real company because their prices seem too good to be true. We checked them out and their impossibly low prices are the real deal: Save up to 70% off flights with Airline Network

We can’t guarantee that you won’t be asked to serve the little bags of peanuts to your fellow passengers because how else could you expect them to offer up to 70% off? Let’s be realistic with this.

Sure, the link text doesn’t give much away, but that adds to the fun of it. Special offers should be shrouded in mystery up until the very last moment. I won’t spill the beans here, but I will tell you they’ve collected up their cheapest theme holidays into one place, so depending on your goal you’ll be only one quick away from finding the perfect offer for you.
