Right now I’m looking at their trips to Morocco, and seeing all the really interesting activities I can book along with my flight and hotel. If you are anything like me you assumed these holiday villa rentals were only for the rich, but when you look at the prices on villas that you can reserve early you see that the price is sometimes even less than normal hotels. The best savings come when you travel with either a family or a group of friends, as many of these places can comfortably sleep a dozen or more people all at a price you’d expect to pay for a nice hotel room for one couple.

Prices on last minute holidays keep going down

They now have weeks at 5-star resorts in Turkey starting at £349, and Spain starting at £329 per person. This isn’t including a private room at a hostel, this is for a luxurious resort of some kind, so it’s important to remember what you get for this price. They also have deals to Mexico and the Dominican Republic for a bit more, but of course the flight itself is responsible for that part.

International flights are on sale, with great bargains to the USA

Netflights is one of the better and cheaper ways to book airfare, and I’ve just noticed they are having a really interesting sale on international flights, with some specific bargains to the USA that are very tempting: Save up to 50% on flights to the USA with Airline Network

They’ve got flights to New York City for £279 return, and flights to Florida for only a bit more. While the Pound Sterling isn’t quite as strong as it was a couple months ago, it still goes a long way, especially in Florida. Netflights also offers 10% off on Florida car hire, but that’s not even a big deal since prices for cars there are unbelievably low already.

Air France has a good sale going through September

It’s finally the time of year when we can talk about airfare prices going down instead of up, and Air France has recently announced a good sale that goes all month: Fly to Europe with Air France

A few of the sample fares they are boasting about on that sale page are to Geneva for £97 return, Edinburgh for £106 return, and Nice at £109 return. Those are all out of London City Airport, which seems to be the hub for Air France’s low-cost operations in the UK. They also do cheap flights to Paris from all the main UK airports, so even if you aren’t near London you can pick up one of their bargains going to France.

British Airways saves you money while letting you build your own holiday

You wouldn’t really expect British Airways to be one of the better places to book a complicated holiday, but they’ve actually got a really useful tool for doing just that: British Airways Holidays

First off, they show you the cities they’ve got the best hotel deals in right in the top corner. Right now they can get you a hotel room in Orlando, Florida starting at 20 quid, and that’s the price per room, not per person. You can select your destination city and they pick your hotel, transfers, car hires, and sightseeing tours, all in one place. Quite a few sites are doing something similar, but they tend to be far more confusing. Fine work on this, British Airways.

Late summer holidays are really getting cheap

Only suckers take their main yearly trip in August in particular, because prices are at their absolute maximum, and if you don’t book a year in advance you don’t get the best places anyway. Now you can book nearly anywhere in Spain, Turkey, or the Caribbean, and you’ll spend maybe half as much once you get there as you would last month.
