Head to Cuba before Castro’s Cigar goes out
No one quite knows what is going to happen to Cuba after Fidel Castro passes away. We’ll probably find out soon enough since the experts are predicting that Fidel is not long for this world. Love him or hate him, he has been an iconic figure on the global stage for decades and he as much as anyone represents modern day Cuba. If it is up to me, I’d rather tavel to Cuba when Fidel is still alive than when he is gone.
Travel to the island is still restricted for Americans, although many still go there via Mexico, Canada and other Caribbean islands. This is actually welcome news for those of use who don’t hold a US passport because it means that there is less competition for some of Cuba’s best resorts.
The island still offers great value for your money so even if Fidel lives another 10 years, now is a great time to head to Cuba.
