Two Extra Days for Your Trip in Europe
Having the freedom to travel on your schedule and make the stops you choose is one of the things I love about renting a car while on vacation. It might put a bit of pressure to drive while on vacation but it surely beats the tight schedules of tours. And when you can save money for the rental car, it’s even better! Rent 7 days, pay only 5 – Get 2 free days in France, the UK, Belgium and Germany!
Is it a good idea to drive in Europe during autumn?
The weather in Western and Central Europe during autumn is quite unpredictable. You might be blessed with sunny, crisp days but you might also end up right in the middle of the cold autumn rainy days.
For example, the average high temperature in Paris in November is 9C and it could rain pretty much all the time. London is just as cold but contrary to popular belief it’s not so rainy during this time of the year. So, if you go by statistics, you have more chances of lovely weather in London rather than in Paris.
If you decide to explore the mountain regions of Europe, be prepared for the first snowfall of the year (which has already fallen in some areas). So make sure at least one of the drivers has experience driving in icy conditions. And definitely consider purchasing travel insurance before you leave on vacation.
Excellent hotel deals in Europe
If you stay away from large cities – Paris, London, Berlin – finding cheap hotels in Europe during this time of the year is easy as pie. The period between the peak summer season and the holidays is almost “dead” when it comes to traveling, especially in smaller towns and in the popular beach areas. It is also the time when many hotels and restaurants close for the winter – especially in places like Ibiza, Mallorca, Greek islands – and those which remain open offer excellent bargains to attract the travelers.
Also, some European cities have become excellent choices for the budget travelers (or those looking to spend a vacation without breaking the budget) mostly because of the economic crisis. Prague, Budapest and Vienna are excellent choices for a 10-day vacation in which to explore the beauty of Central-Eastern Europe.
