Currency Converter: Calculate and Compare Currencies

money1.jpgOne of the neatest things about traveling to far away places is that you have the opportunity to use different currency with different famous people on it and in different dominations. Inevitably I always end up treating that currency like it is Monopoly money because I can never quite wrap my head around how the exchange rates work. I swear the happiest day of my life was when I went to an exchange office in Poland and became an instant millionaire…in the then worthless Polish Zloty. Walking away with a stack of bills that was bigger than a loaf of bread made me feel like I was the richest man in the world. I think I still have some of those Zloty leftover, but that is another story. Back to the topic of currency….

Expedia has a very handy little currency converter tool on their site that automatically calculates and compares the various currencies from all over the globe. This is especially useful when you are doing research about a place on the Web and everything is listed in local currency prices.

It is also a cool little tool because it allows you convert Cayman Islands Dollars into Azerbaijani Manats. Unless you are a drug smuggler for a living when else will you ever have the opportunity to do that?
