Discount Travel for Students

isic-hand_savings.jpgHave you noticed that university is bloody expensive these days? Of course you have, you’re the one still in school and you are the one who is excited when you find loose change under your sofa cushion. Paying for education is a necessary evil, but it shouldn’t keep you from traveling and seeing the world. You can learn just as much on the road staying in a flee-bag youth hostel as you can by sitting in a classroom at an ivy-covered university.

Fortunately for student travelers there are discount travel companies like STA. I used them many times when I was in school, booking tickets to get home for the holidays, study abroad and for my summer breaks. STA is run by young people and it is geared towards those who not only like to travel on a budget, but to those who could probably not afford to travel otherwise.

STA currently is offering up some tasty deals on cheap flights to the United States and Australia. Their Web site also offers a comprehensive section that will help any student get the most out of his or her Gap Year. Check out STA the next time you plan on traveling.

Now quit daydreaming about travel and get back to studying. Time is money.
