If you ask me, this deal might come back to haunt Mr. Cook because this might just eat up all their potential profit, but we’ll leave him to sort that out.

Their current best holiday deals include a 4-star place in Turkey, all inclusive, starting at £315. So you put a bit of a deposit down on that and you get an extra day on top of that. How can they make money on this? I’m guessing they are hoping that many people will put the deposit down and then never take the trip, but based on past experience readers of this column are way too smart for tricks like that.
