Kuoni Makes Luxury Maldives Vacations Affordable

couplebeachWhen everybody is talking about staycations, cheap destinations or not even considering traveling at all, here I am trying to convince you to go to the Maldives, on a luxury vacation. Why? Because no matter how much you love the UK, the weather in the Maldives is always better. Then, because Maldives holiday offers are too good to be true!

How good? The prices start from £889 per person for 7-night accommodation in a 5 star resort, including the round trip flight (from London Gatwick). The lowest price is in November.

The weather

The climate of the Maldives is tropical, with sunny days and temperatures range between 26C and 30C year round. Choosing the “best time” to visit the islands basically depends on what you plan to do. Although the skies might be cloudy and the humidity high, from May to November is best to visit the islands if you plan to go diving (the water is very clear). Otherwise, December to April represents the dry season and the time when the prices are at the highest.

Why go?

The Maldives offer the best setting for a honeymoon vacation . So if you plan to get married (or already are) now it’s a great time to consider surprising your loved one. The Maldives also offer stunning diving spots, with very clear water and abundant wildlife. And there’s also the possibility to enjoy underwater dining at the Conrad Maldives.

The islands are expensive by most standards, but when such offers are available, it’s a shame not to take advantage of them. There are no cheap hotels on the islands and the resorts are very proud of their monopoly.

Earlier this year Travel Weekly explained in an article that the Maldives are trying to attract a wider range of tourists. Ideally, the Government is hoping that the average British person should be able to enjoy the Maldives. The plan is to have 12,000 additional beds built in the Maldives by 2011. But until that happens, we are left with hunting for the best all inclusive vacation packages

    to match our budgets.
