People who book their trip really early can often get great deals, but those who wait until a month or two before they want to leave are getting the worst of it lately. The good news is that these last-minute packages are still coming up, and in many cases they are really good prices. I guess that some hotels priced themselves too high recently, so with all the extra rooms they have to slash prices to try to fill them up.
Finding travel deals late in game can be tricky if you do it on your own. You can often find cheap Rome hotels, but then you try to get a cheap flight and there are none to be had. These last-minute companies take all the guesswork out of it for you, so you can just scroll through knowing everything is available at a good price. What did we ever do before the internet? I shudder to think how much trouble it must have been for Sir Isaac Newton to find proper airfare and a cheap hotel using only travel agents or whatever they had.
