Making Budget Airlines Work for You
Ok, so you’ve weighted the pros and the cons regarding budget airlines and decided that you’ve going to go the cheap route. What can you do to make your flight more enjoyable?
Go early: Get the airport plenty of time in advance. When they say you need to be on board no later than 30 minutes before departure, they mean it. Getting there early will make sure that you’re not rushed and worried about missing your flight.
Pack food and drinks: Round up a few snack bars, some bottled water and put them in your carry-on bag. If you have your own snacks, you’re less likely to splurge on not-good airline food. Do this before you get to the airport to save some dough.
Arrange transport into the city: Know how you’re going to get into your final city before you land, be it train, shuttle or taxi. Nothing is worse than showing up at midnight and now having the faintest idea how to get to your hotel, an hour away.
