beech girlThis is a really fun time of year to be someone who writes about travel deals, because prices on nearly everything keep going down, including last-minute holidays: Latest deals on lastminute.com

They now have weeks at 5-star resorts in Turkey starting at £349, and Spain starting at £329 per person. This isn’t including a private room at a hostel, this is for a luxurious resort of some kind, so it’s important to remember what you get for this price. They also have deals to Mexico and the Dominican Republic for a bit more, but of course the flight itself is responsible for that part.

Finding cheap flights is getting easier lately, especially as demand has fallen off and fuel prices have kept coming down. And finding deals at hotels has gotten a bit easier as well due to the shoulder season starting. But there is something about these kinds of packages that include both things that can really save the most money. Instead of having to pay a commission on your flight and another on your room, these deals only add in a small fee one time, and they often have access to hotel rates far lower than you can find on your own anyway. Try both methods and you’ll probably discover this offers better value, but if it doesn’t then do it the other way. It’s all about saving money.
