If there’s big news, it’s best to go right to the source. Unfortunately, that’s where everyone else goes too. Keynote Systems monitored a selection of airport sites on August 10 from 10am-2pm and discovered that
- Luton airport took around a minute to load and was only available 10% of the time.
- Belfast airport was only reachable about 15% of the time.
- Birmingham International was available 1/3 of the monitored period and Cardiff was available only 1/5.
- Manchester, a larger airport and website, was able to connect with a lag time of slightly over 20 seconds, about 85% of the morning.
BAA.com includes Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick and was a mixed bag, with slow load times, difficult connections and heavy traffic.
