ryanair logoRyanair is Europe’s largest low-cost airline and one of the most successful airlines in the entire world. It is headquartered at Dublin Airport, Ireland. It has many bases, including at Alicante, Bari, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Madrid, Porto and Rome.

It operates over 950 routes in Europe and Morocco and flies to 151 destinations. In 1985 when it began operations it was a small airline and now has grown to be the largest in Europe.

Most of the airline’s profit doesn’t come from the tickets though. It is known as the “worst offender” when it comes to charging for optional extras. And they arise from alternative services like using airport check-in facilities instead of the online service fee or for the food and drinks which can be bough on-board.

The company was often criticized for many aspects of the customer service. Aside from their deserved reputation of nastiness, they don’t even offer the customers the possibility to contact the company by email. The only way to get a hold of them is by a premium rate phone line, by fax or by post. And on top of all, they also had some issues with misleading advertising.
