Windswept and wildly beautiful, the British Virgins encompass more than 60 sparsely inhabited islands and rocks that lie 60 miles east of Puerto Rico. The capital and chief port is Road Town on Tortola, the largest island and home to 80% of the BVI residents, with a population of 17,000.
Save for a few clubs and discos that come to life on weekends, nightlife consists of stargazing and moonlit dives.
