Cheap Flights to London
London has it all: royalty and history, financial and trading power, renowned artists and writers, and most definitely cool. A modern view of London is from the London Eye, the world’s largest observation wheel. The big wheel rotates constantly, and from its pinnacle, 130 feet above the city, you can see more than 55 of London’s most famous landmarks.
Must sees include Westminster Abbey, with Poet’s Corner and royal tombs; the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, although closed to visitors during session, its exterior architecture is still a popular attraction; the British Museum, one of the world’s best museums; the Tower of London, which is still guarded by the Beefeaters and houses Britain’s crown jewels; and Covent Garden, one of London’s hippest shopping districts with some of the city’s best sidewalk entertainment, an antiques market on Monday, and a crafts market Tuesday through Saturday.
London pubs are not to be missed. Go to more than one as no two are alike. And of course, have a “real ale,” the British term for a variety of traditionally brewed beers.
London is a great city to enjoy being a tourist. With over 230 free attractions, there’s nowhere else in the world where you can see so much for so little.
