I’ll confess that flying on an airline that I don’t know much about like Air Baltic always makes my stomach a little nervous. I guess I am still trying to recover from a flight I took on Kazakh Air about a decade ago. I swear that various parts of the airplane fell off during the flight. A flight, I might mention, where I had to sit on the floor because it was overbooked. Thank god for the bottle of vodka the stewardesses passed around!
Somehow I think that Air Baltic has probably higher safety standards, but that is for you to discover for yourself. What the airline does have is cheap, cheap flights from London, Dublin and Manchester to Riga, Latvia. Riga is a jewel of a city and one that you should visit sooner rather than later no matter how scary the flight there might be.
