I’ll confess that flying on an airline that I don’t know much about like Air Baltic always makes my stomach a little nervous. I guess I am still trying to recover from a flight I took on Kazakh Air about a decade ago. I swear that various parts of the airplane fell off during the flight. A flight, I might mention, where I had to sit on the floor because it was overbooked. Thank god for the bottle of vodka the stewardesses passed around!

Somehow I think that Air Baltic has probably higher safety standards, but that is for you to discover for yourself. What the airline does have is cheap, [1] cheap flights from London, Dublin and Manchester to Riga, Latvia. Riga is a jewel of a city and one that you should visit sooner rather than later no matter how scary the flight there might be.
