Go someplace you never even knew existed
When I was a young lad growing up in the rough and tumble world of suburbia, I used to have a globe. It was my best friend. Some days I would spin the globe and stop it with a finger. Wherever my finger landed was where I would pretend to be that day. Yeah, I was a messed up little kid, but I also ended up learning a bit about obscure places in the world.
As an adult, I still sometimes play this game. Instead of a globe, I check out air deals to places I have never heard of. Sometimes I find some excellent spots. Today’s pick is Castries, which is located on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia. For about £400, you can fly from London to what appears to be heaven on earth. Beautiful sand, blue water and plenty of sunshine await you in Castries. I would have enjoyed going there in the make-believe world of my childhood and I’m sure I’d also dig going there these days too.
