When I was a young lad growing up in the rough and tumble world of suburbia, I used to have a globe. It was my best friend. Some days I would spin the globe and stop it with a finger. Wherever my finger landed was where I would pretend to be that day. Yeah, I was a messed up little kid, but I also ended up learning a bit about obscure places in the world.

As an adult, I still sometimes play this game. Instead of a globe, I check out air deals to places I have never heard of. Sometimes I find some excellent spots.
