Norway is a very Nobel Place to Visit
What do you mean? You didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize this year? I thought you were going to get it for sure. Oh well, there is always next year.
Even if you didn’t receive recognition for your advancement of global peace, you are still allowed to travel to the home of the Nobel Peace Prize, Oslo, Norway. Oslo is a fairly liberal place and they are happy to welcome humanitarians and everyday people alike. This open and laid back attitude pervades throughout much of Norway and it would be an injustice if you limit your Scandinavian adventure just to Oslo. My unsolicited advice would be to spend a few days in Oslo exploring things like the Viking Ship Museum, the Kon-Tiki Museum and the Polarship Museum Fram.
When you have had enough of the museum scene, pack your bag and head west towards Bergen. Tucked in right by the water, Bergen is a jewel of a city and a good launching place to go off and explore Norway’s Fjords and quaint costal villages.
You might not have been recognized by the Nobel committee but you can still be rewarded when you go to Norway. Lufthansa has some deals going on flights to Oslo that are your prize for the day.
