Hualien is a beautiful city on the east coast of Taiwan, located just south of Taroko National Park. This treasured natural reserve is famous for its marble gorge and many of the footpaths in Hualien were once paved with marble.
Aboriginal culture is an integral part of island's heritage and you will also have the opportunity to meet people from the Ami, Atayal and Taroko tribes.
Our backpacker’s hostel is located in the heart of the city centre. This facility is cosy, clean, and safe with a fun atmosphere. We have a cafe and bar in the hostel, where we display works of art from local artists, including aboriginal pieces, art deco and photography.
Hualien has many biking and hiking trails. The ocean here has great waves for surfing and you will also find many waterfalls suitable for cliff diving and lagoons for swimming in.
