Australian run. Don't let our inexpensiveness fool you. With friendly English literate staff, Big John's, the original - run by Big John himself - is probably the number one place to stay in Bangkok - Centraly located, Big John's is a small Aussie run guesthouse and youth hostel that also includes Thailand's coolest and friendliest internet cafe/restaurant/bar. Open from 7am - 2am and serving the number one Australian style pies and burgers in Thailand, maybe the world!! Not forgetting delicious western style vegetarian meals, international favourites and Thai/Fusion food.

Did I forget to mention our fabulous home made pork sausages, vege/tofu Burgers and vegetarian breakfast?
Breakfast starts from just 50 Baht and is available from 7am - 2am.
Seldom do you find food this good in a hotel, no where else will you find food this good in a guesthouse or hostel.

All the private rooms have the capacity to sleep up to 3 people in bunk beds that are double on the bottom and single on top (see picture). All the rooms can also be used for single occupancy where we offer a substantial discount at check-in. You'll pay from 350 Baht per night for a room used for single occupancy.

All beds have not just linen, but comforters, making you feel really at home.

Guests also receive 30 minutes free ADSL internet access or computer time per day. We have both Macs an PC's, scanners, printers, CD Burner, Card Readers, USB & Firewire ports, so connecting your digital camera or video or freeing space on your memory cards or sending pics to friends is easy. If you have your own laptop you can also plug into our high speed / broadband connection.

We have washing machines and an iron if you want to do your own laundry or our staff can do it for you at a very reasonable price.

For those who love to read we also have a book swapping service.

You'll receive a free Bangkok Map which includes buses and ferries with every private room booking of 2 days or more and every dorm booking of 5 days or more.

We also offer free luggage / baggage storage to returning guests.

Thonglor is an upmarket, cosmopolitan, residential area on the edge of Central Bangkok, in the newly rezoned entertainment zone, surrounded by many clubs and restaurants which are frequented by both young Thais and expatriates.

You can walk the streets in safety and won't have to worry about being touted.

Thonglor is close to many of the International schools. It also hosts the Japanese quarter of Bangkok. Thonglor has a less artifical feel than many areas traditionally frequented by backpackers. Here you can experience life in Bangkok & Thailand on a more realistic, down to earth, day to day level.

Check availability at Email-cafe.com.
