Welcome to our hostel, Brisbane City Backpackers. The closest hostel to the Roma Street Transit Centre, just 400m. Our hostel boasts market leading facilities, complete with million dollar river and city views from our rooftop swimming pool and balconies. In addition we offer the best nightlife in the city at our very own party pub, The Fiddler's Elbow!!!.
Are you concerned about your safety or having your stuff stolen!?. You need not Worry! City Backpackers is purpose built, and fitted with state of the art security monitoring and fire safety systems. Additionally staff are available 24 hours a day and you may deposit your valuables with reception for safekeeping.
City Backpackers conducts a job workshop 3 times weekly. This service is free and covers how to find a job in Brisbane, tax and tax file numbers and most importantly some simple things you can do to help yourself. We register each person attending the workshop, so that jobs phoned into our reception can be directed to the appropriate person.
We also use the job workshop to screen candidates to work in the hostel. Positions such as bar, reception and cleaning have the benefits of board and beer in addition to a wage!
At City Backpackers we believe that backpacking isn't just about seeing the sights, it's about meeting people! The Fiddler's Elbow is a real pub with real pub entertainment that opens every night till late. Something different every night!!!. Our Backpacker Fuel is the cheapest around!
