Fitzroy Island is located right on the Great Barrier Reef. It’s a continental island and as a result is covered in pristine rainforest where guests can enjoy spectacular walks within the 339 hectares of National Park area. Getting wet and experiencing the fringing coral reefs of Fitzroy Island is as easy as stepping off the beaches directly in front of the resort. For the diving enthusiast a wreck is located off the island.
Be adventurous or just relax on the 100% Australian owned island reef - Fitzroy Island - only 45 minutes from Cairns. The Fitzroy Flyer catamaran departs from the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal taking just 45 minutes to arrive on beautiful Fitzroy Island.

We also offer our guests a large, open living style kitchen which comes with cook tops, all cooking amenities, large fridges, washing up areas, cutlery, tables & chairs. If you don’t feel like cooking yourself, however, our Flare Grill opens from 8am until 10am for breakfast and 12pm to 2pm for lunch, the kiosk is open between 9am and 5pm and the kitchen in our Raging Thunder Beach Bar Restaurant opens between 6pm and 9pm.
Reception: 8.30am - 7.00pm - Reservations can be made up to 10.00pm.
