Melaleuca on Mitchell is Darwin’s newest, biggest and best equipped backpacker and budget accommodation. It is superbly located in the centre of Darwin City in the vibrant Mitchell Street tourist precinct within easy walking distance to all pubs, nightclubs, bus transit centre, shopping and the city’s great restaurants and cafés.
There is a variety of accommodation available from single/twin and four share rooms with ensuite bathrooms plus four and six bedded dorms. All rooms have air conditioning, wall fans and more.
The facilities provided are fantastic. We have our a ‘reck deck’ where there is a lounge pool, plunge pool, waterfall and spa, 4 metre TV and DVD projection screen with sports and entertainment channels plus numerous flat screen TV’s and the bar. The entire area is disguised to represent a rock hole or lagoon similar to any one of our beautiful Top End water holes.
Darwin is the gateway to the East and West Coasts and all the way to the centre. Plus it is only a short hop to Asia.
