Base, the hippest hostel in Melbourne, will open on the 1st May 2004 in Carlisle Street, St Kilda. Situated just two blocks from the beach, this hostel will have places to chill, places to have fun, places to enjoy the good times and places to eat and drink. All in all, the vibe will be a relaxed and friendly one.
An ultra modern glass structure boasts ensuite for every room, and has the capacity to house 250 backpackers in 19 double rooms and ensuite share rooms of up to 8 people.
Our guests will be able to avail of our many facilities. For example, an amazing bar, a great Asian/Thai restaurant, as well as a travel desk, where holidays can be planned.
