Picard Beach Cottage Resort – Book your bed
Picard Beach Cottages are situated on the north west coast of the Nature Island, on what was once a large coconut plantation. The cottages are nestled in a flowering garden among tall palms rustling in the breeze, and fringed by Dominica's longest golden sand beach. Here one can sit in an individual wooden cottage and listen to the wildlife, or the waves lapping on the beach as you absorb some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.
Each cottage is designed in traditional 18th century Creole architectural style and has air conditioning, a wide balcony, bathroom, kitchenette, telephone, one bedroom, and living/dinig room area with a day bed to accommodate a third person. Cable television is also available.
Le Flambeau Restaurant is an informal beach restaurant, bar and lounge serving Dominican specialities as well as other lighter a la carte snack options. This beachfront eatery has a very friendly staff and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner which is perfect for those days when you do not wish to cook in your private cottage.
Who and where are we?
The Commonwealth of Dominica is 290 sq miles, situated in the center of the arc of the chain of islands known as the Caribbean Chain, and wedged between the two French Islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe. Dominicans speak English as their official language with much of the population also speaking a French based Creole. Dominicans are known for their rich culture and warm and charming hospitality.
