The Mousetrap Backpackers is located in Paihia, Bay of Islands, New Zealand, and is a great place to meet people, and have a good time.The Mousetrap Backpackers accomodates only 25 people, and is a character house for character people.The hostel backs onto native bush, and has a large lovely garden in front.
The interior has some quality wooden finishing, and is homely, clean and cosy.
The world famous Mousetrap balcony with seaview. The Mousetrap is not an ordinary hostel, its a great place to meet people, and have a good time.
There are two comfortable homely lounges and two fully equipped kitchens, as well as two open wood fires. All the rooms are heated, and we offer the free use of duvets, blankets and sheets.
An eclectic mix of potted plants, backpackers art on the walls and ceilings and the hostess joie de vivre make this into a funky, and comfy abode.
The sole of this backpackers is the balcony with an ocean view, wich has transformed many well-intensioned active visitors into "balcony bums". longer stays encouraged. big lounges with open fires. outdoor wood barbeque.
