Scary bathrooms.

Sometimes
- Why or why not?
My travel plans are rarely organised enough that I'll know where I'm going to be. I usually just turn up on the night.
- Who is the most memorable person you met in a hostel and why?
I met a great American in a hostel in Scotland. It wasn't the most exciting area, but due to the good company we had a ball. Often the people you're with make the place and the memories.
- Why do you stay in hostels, as opposed to other types of accommodation?
Usually because they're cheap!
- Is there a hostel you'd recommend to other travelers? If so, what is it and where?
Bazpackers, Inverness, Scotland
- What is the biggest myth people have about hostels and hosteling?
That they're all dingy and bed-bug infested. Almost all hostels I've been to have been surprisingly clean and comfortable.
- Why do you like to travel?
To meet people and experience interesting places.
- What is your advice for other travelers wanting to stay in hostels?
Approach people and talk to them, get travel tips and hints on where to go in the country you're in.
